About Northwest Canine Counseling...

Northwest Canine Counseling is owned and operated by certified professional dog trainer Dawna Andrews. Dawna has over twelve years of dog training experience, a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Colorado State University, is certified by National K-9 School for Dog Trainers, and is a member of International Association of Canine Professionals. She has extensive experience training dogs in all levels of obedience along with solving behavioral problems and teaching dogs good manners. She is also experienced in agility, puppy temperament testing, utility training, therapy dogs, handicap assistance dogs, scent detection, tracking, soft mouth retrieval, personal protection, and canine good citizenship training/evaluating.

Northwest Canine Counseling believes in a balanced and individualized approach to dog training. We help families to improve their relationship with their dogs. Fair and effective communication is the key to improving this relationship. We are committed to teaching owners to properly handle and effectively communicate with their dogs. All training is geared toward you and your dog on an individual basis. Not all dogs learn at the same speed or in the same manner. Therefore, dogs should be trained according to their personality and the goals of their owners.
