Puppy
Temperament Testing
|
Puppy temperament testing is a reliable predictor
of a dog's personality, sociability, and potential
trainability at maturity. The results of testing
serve to match the puppy's temperament with the
most suitable future environment. |
Puppy
Temperament testing is offered at 7 weeks of
age. Our certified professional dog trainer
will come to your location to perform the test.

Travel
Fee for Temperament Testing:
Northwest Canine Counseling is located in Duvall. There may be a travel fee
for those who live outside of Duvall, Carnation, Redmond, Woodinville, or
Monroe. Travel fees depend on litter size and distance.

Agility
Training Programs |
Agility
classes focus on learning equipment, mastering
contact zones, learning to communicate through
body language, and increasing the bond with
your dog. Dogs must
be over one year of age and know basic obedience
commands to participate. |

Agility Lessons
Private lessons allow you to work one on
one with our trainer in a distraction free
environment. Shy dogs may benefit greatly
from private lessons. • $40.00

Agility Classes
Group classes are a great way to desensitize
your dog to the distraction of other dogs
and people. Sessions are 90 minutes long
and run for 6 weeks. • $120.00
for 6 weeks of classes

Protection Programs |

Personal
protection teaches dogs to protect their owners
on command. Dogs must have gone through all

Mouth Retrieval Programs |

Mouth Retrieval
Soft
mouth retrieval teaches dogs to pick up an object in their mouth
without damaging it. Soft mouth retrieval is
great for hunting dogs or owners
who would like theirs dog’s help in retrieving objects such
as keys, wallets, remotes, and much more. • (contact

Obedience
Training Programs |
A free consultation is available so that we can help
choose the right training program for you and your dog.
During the consultation our trainer will explain our
training methods and you will get to see a demonstration
with a trained dog. We will also answer any questions
you may have about training and your dog's behavior.
This consultation is free of charge and there is no obligation
to sign up for training. |

Lessons
Private lessons are intended to teach you how to train your dog. Each lesson
is geared toward you and your dog on an individual basis. There is no set limit
on how many lessons you can take. We encourage the whole family to participate
when possible.

Training
Dogs who participate in day training are dropped off at our location in the morning
and will spend their day being trained and then are picked up by their owners
in the evening. After their training is complete, owners will receive private
lessons with our instructor to help you understand the commands and how to generalize
behaviors to other environments. |

During the 5 day program, dogs will learn

• Board & Train
Dogs who participate in the board and train program will spend 24 hours a day
with our trainer. This program is intended for owners who would like to go
on vacation while their dog is being trained or for dogs that need a little
more intensive training. After their training is complete, owners will receive
private lessons with our trainer to help you understand the commands and
how to generalize behaviors to other environments. |

Leash Obedience
Off leash is the final step in obedience. Dogs
learn to perform all their commands off leash
outside in a variety of environments. Dogs who
participate in off leash
obedience must have gone through one of the 10 day training programs or enough
